1.5 Compound Interest and the Number e

Well today started off with everyone walking into class and wondering where Mr. Kuropatwa went. He was sick today, so we had a sub. The sub told us that we were to work on exercises (1.5) Compound Interest and The Number e. We then all decided to get into a circle and do the exercises together to help each other out. As a class we got through them all besides number 17. Maybe Mr. Kuropatwa can go through # 17 in class.

The main thing to remember about this section in chapter one is the two formulas. The two formulas are a key part in getting the right answers. Here they are:

A(t)=P(1+r/n )^n t

and

A(t)=Pe^r t

Well that is it folks. See you guys tomorrow in class. I almost forgot that the next scribe is........mark!

I won't be back until Monday. #17 is on the top of our list to discuss. ;-)

Cheers!
